Most block rebuild jobs we do fit in the short block or long block category. We can also provide specific basic services if that is what you need.

Basic block services:

• Bore and hone cylinders
• Regrind crankshafts (arranged with a specialty service provider)
• Recondition connecting rods
• Surface head mounting decks
• Replace sleeves

Special block services:

• Dynamic rotating assembly balance (arranged with a specialty service provider)
• Install sleeves to repair or recondition cylinders
• Repair cracks using “cold welding”
• Thread repairs with coils or oversize bolts

Assembly services:

• Short block: typically includes cam, pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft
• Long block: adds timing gear/chain, oil pump, any other internal parts, and fully assembled heads to a short block.
• Engine: adds valve covers, exhaust and intake manifolds, timing train cover, and an oil pan.
